The Climb - Conglomerate Towers in Piatra Mare Mountain - Brasov, Romania

These conglomerate towers have seen many visits from me and my friends in the past five or six years. Almost every time we hiked up the mountain, we wanted to climb at least one of them but for no serious reasons we didn't. We just took photos and studied them.

It's always the same with all great outdoor tours: if you over plan it, there's a high chance you won't do much of what you planned. Georgel proposed this adventure climbing thing a few days in advance and I was willing to go but I didn't give him a clear answer like Yes or No. For this reason only, perhaps for not taking it too seriously, all forces of nature, along with the unseen universe, the stars and the moon, converged and decided we deserve to go for the rocky towers.

We carried two backpacks full of specific gear:
There is no trail that leads to the towers and we hope there won't be one any time soon. For us - me and Georgel - the joy is even greater if we have to walk on unmarked and rugged terrain. Wild landscape and obstacles translates into beautiful and sporty hiking.

Emotions were present coz we climbed traditional style but we didn't take any falls so this gave us an added feeling of victory. Our next trip here will be dedicated to climbing the third tower - the tallest, most difficult and exposed.

Photos and videos below taken with phone camera.

Enjoy outdoors!

Sunt 3 turnuri. Acu ne-am catarat pe cel din mijloc. Noi doi ne-am catarat pe cel mai mic, cel care e inspre munte. A mai ramas de catzarat al treilea, cel mai in vid, ca o ciuperca. Are o fisura pitonata.
