Hanging Hangboard - Climbing Fingerboard
I may have come up with an idea for a climbing hangboard that doesn't require you to drill the wall above your door frame.

This is just a concept that I imagined but I'm gonna build it and then I'll update this post with more pictures and a video.

The idea is simple: you get an expandable pull-ups bar and then you build a board (from plywood) which will hang onto the bar. The rubber pads at the bottom corners will rest against the door jamb. It's a good setup to have and it should work wherever you go since both pieces are mobile (the board and the pull-ups bar).

I currently maintain my general fitness doing pull-ups on the bar that you see in the picture but that's not enough for climbing. I need a board with crimpers and slopers for climbing-specific training.

Update: I improvised a hook out of an L piece and a bolt. Looking for some pads now...

Update 2: I drilled the board in the lower corners and added two T nuts then two bolts (one in each corner). Then I placed two sticky rubber pads onto the door frame so the head of the bolts would rest against these pads. This allows me to fine tune the distance between the board and the margins of my door frame.
